F1 » Honda 'saved', Button and Senna to drive?

Honda's 'saviour' has finally been found, it is claimed - and it is not either David Richards' Prodrive operation nor Force India billionaire Vijay Mallya...but rather Mexican telecommunications entrpreneur Carlos Slim.

this may or may not be true, as it is an unusual source for a major announcement. ok, they say slim visited brackeley last week, but this was widely reported already. this appears to be la stampas reason for assuming a deal was done. i await with baited breath!!!!!!!

sunny, there is a report on autosport.com which implies that negotiations are still ongoing with 4 interested parties, so this report might be jumping the gun.

Guys like this don't just pop out've the wood-work because they like racing. He's in this to make money: basically a one-man hedge fund (seldom good for the long term interests of the company). Picture being rescued from the wolves by a jackal and you'll have a better sense of what's going on.

That's what Ron said about Lewis going to GP2 before he asked for a drive at Williams.

hopefully this is accurate information....couldnt care less what or if this guy has ulterier motives as long as we see these cars back on the grid....

"Slim" get on the phone to Bernie and tell him your a 100% going to have the team on the Melbourne grid - but only if he's going to get the Mexico GP set-up for 2010!!!!!
