Tim, Webber has outperformed his teammates for years which is really all you can do in an uncompetitive car.

F1 » Webber: New regs won't improve F1 show

Convalescing Red Bull Racing star Mark Webber is far from convinced that F1's raft of new regulations being brought in to generate better racing in 2009 will produce the desired effect.

"convalesces" - yet more Thesaurus abuse from the crash.net journos. The insistence on call the F1 championship ''the laurels'' is also getting extremely tiresome.

If his new team mate out performs him this year he may not have to worry about the show. Vettel is going to eat his lunch.

I have said it before and I'll say it again....

Webber is one of those under-performing F1 drivers who gets away with murder, year after year. Hardly any criticism on forums like these, compared with the Alonsos and Buttons. Reminds me of one of those anonymous kids in school that sit at the back of the class and answer no questions, manage to avoid the teacher's eyes and gets away with it! LOL

And before I'm attacked, I love Aussies and Aussie sportsmen....cos they kick butt!!! But not this one :?

I thought webber did a fair job this year considering what he was driving and the comments about vettel going to eat his lunch just will not happen, vettel just happened to have a better engine with the ferrari but next year he will be no where near the front and it was a flash in the pan pole and win he had in the wet totally due to circumstances the weather caused and what happened in the top teams, that is his only win and i cant see him getting one next year (and to call him little schumi is just a total insult to the lads ability as a driver michael was the biggest cheat F1 has ever had on the track).

damo, that statement is not entirely true. This year, Alonso outperformed his teammate in an uncompetitive car (which was worse than the red bull) and THEN dragged that car up to the front of the grid by the end of the season. No need for us to argue over the facts, and I am not comparing the two drivers, just disproving the second part of your statement.

The drivers can say what they want but the fact is that nobody knows how the racing will be with the new regs.

the recipe looks good, less downforce means the cars SHOULD be able to follow each other more closely, the slicks mean more low speed grip and KERS results in more breaking force and quicker acceleration... but will the result taste as good as the ingredients suggest?

barry's comment about Schumi is a little bit over the top isn't it?

tupac (i thought you were registered?) yes, barrys remark is a little over the top , but he has a dislike for schumi. apart from one or two dubious moments, i cannot remember schumi actually cheating. played the rules maybe, but that is done by all sensible drivers.
