I cannot agree more with JS comments. They are totally relevant and show a genuine interest in helping the sport move forward. BE and MM have just become far too powerful and almost dictatorial and need to retire. If the rest of us have to retire at 65 why dont they????????

Sir Jackie Stewart has renewed his suggestion that it is time for both Bernie Ecclestone and Max Mosley to leave the running of F1 to others.

Would be interesting to see a new hierarchy, but without Bernie and Max's soundbites F1 news websites would be quiet!

Budgets need to be cut and revenues need to be more fairly distributed.Honda have gone what will the sport look like if the likes of Toyota,Renault & Red Bull follow suit ?.If Toyota bail for instance where would that leave Williams ?.The knock on effects of more manufacturers quitting would be really bad for the sport.Motorsport is suffering in the current global economic climate and its not just F1 (Subaru are out of WRC and it looks like Kawasaki cannot afford to stay in Moto GP).It would appear things do indeed to need to change and fast.JYS is absolutely right.

I could not agree more with Jackie Stewart. Bernie and Max have served their times in F1 an the longer they stay the more damage they will cause to the series.

I usually think of SJS as a little kid you jumps into any argument just to stir it up a bit more without thinking things through properly. However, it looks like a few days off over Christmas has helped him consider his thoughts...

He makes some very good points. F1's structure needs to move from being Bernie and Mosley's little empire, to a smooth running organisation which reflects and compliments the perfectionist and driven teams that compete within it.

Down with Bernie, Down with Max, Sir Jackie Sterwart has had F1s best interest at heart for 40 yrs. People should listen to the Man and start a bloody revolution!

only a couple of months ago, if jys made a comment, nearly every poster would wade in and criticise his remarks. now all of a sudden, nearly everyone is agreeing with him. he was a driver that experienced the highs and lows, and did not desert the sport, as did many. he has more authority to comment on the sport and should be admired for his remarks. jys for presidency of FIA!!!!
