Massa made more mistakes at Silverstone than Hamilton did in the whole season :)

Richard, Ians gone a bit quiet so maybe I could offer:

China - deliberately sideswiped Hamilton - and punished for doing so, so no benefit accrued (OK he ruined Hamilton's race but that should't be relevant to the punishment)

China - ran into Bourdais, escaped punishment (likewise, stewards contrary decision indirectly double-punished Hamilton but not Massa's fault)

Singapore - Reversed into a Force india, escaped punishment

Fair summary?

Piercarlo: I think that was Japan. did not see incident in Singapore. F1 needs Professional Stewards for sure. 2 ex F1 drivers & 1 other.

piercarlo, these were NOT rule breaking events. accidents yes, but nothing outside the rules as there was no deliberate intent.

fluffy slow down a bit here. Hamilton made many mistakes, of which one was the teams fault (Malaysia) but he made a few errors by himself (Bahrain, Canada, Fuji) Massa had an awful race at silverstone, and the first two races wern't the best i've seen from him, BUT Ferrari let Massa down hugely this year, (Engine whilst leading at Hungary with 3 laps to go that's 10 points he should have had easily, Traffic light **** up at singapore, which is another 10 points he should have had easily) i worked it out the other week and even if you let Hamilton keep the points from Spa, but added the points Massa should have had he would have been champion EASILY.

Unsafe pit release, and escaped with a fine. Senna did the same thing and had a drive through. Fines don't hurt you in the race, but a drive through certainly does.

Rich ard, if hitting an opponents car is not breaking the rules, I don't know what is. If you say he didn't have the intent, well he's done it an awful lot of times last year. Enough to make it appear to be his driving technique. Remember that MS is kind of mentoring him.

Also remember Hamilton practically driving Glock off the road in Monza, and banging wheels with Webber so Hamilton must of broke the rules to.

Also, Please remember Lewis chosing to hit Kimi instead of Kubica (Montreal). Inexscusable! Schui was stripped of points 97 for the same shenanagins. and yes, I believe it was an intentional choice! Even a road Car can turn better at 50mph! :)

Hello everyone!
I am not going to involved in any of your arguements here..
But what i will say is, i was one at the start of the season who did criticise Massa, but as Kimi lost the plot, and Hamilton had some mad moments, Massa took advantage and got the results, and he also dominated races aswell!
Hungary is one of the races where i do feel sorry for Massa as he had the win in the bag and then,, his engine blew up!
Next season i hope Massa carries on where he left off in 2008 and that is winning races, or putting on a good show!
He has proved himself worthy of being a world champion, even if he lost out in the end!

haha yes forager 1, i forgot about him intentionally turning left. And whoever it was that said Hamilton had a MASSIVE 7 poles, he only got 1 more than Massa and about the wins, Massa should have had 2 more wins than he did because of mechanicals the only win Hamilton was owed was Spa and even if he had this he still wouldn't have had more wins on merit because Massa lost 2 wins because of Ferrari. Oh and a MASSIVE 7 i think not try a MASSIVE 11 for Schuey in 01, now thats MASSIVE.

Here is a little fuel for the fire. Hamilton also broke the rules with this multiple chicane cutting incidents and the mid season use of team orders. The team orders in Germany and France were more than obvious. Personally I am fine with team orders but Mclaren always deny that they use them. It was also very unsporting the way the Mclaren duo held people up during qualifying.
