Worst thing Honda ever did was getting rid of David Richards. The guy knew how to structure teams and get the best out of his workforce and assets a bit like Flavio.
They were moving up the grid right up to the point Honda decided they wanted their own guy (didn't Button get a win under Richards's reign?)
I bet Honda look back and kick themselves.

Honda has stated: they will assume and pay any and all debt incurred by HondaF1. They will not finance the Team beyond March. They will not supply Engines. They May help with the technical transition. Anyway You look at it, Honda is HOOPPED. Over $140 mil to stay, Over $100 mil to walk away. It's a Sad day. But maybe not! It's only the Japapnese that are running away! They've done it before! They'll do it again. Hey doubt Me? Who else has QUIT?

I think the majority of these stories is the Honda Team /Ross Brawn keeping speculation rife of possible opportunities for organisations buying the team, as for the ferrari link i think it is just ross going to where he knows he can lay his hands on a reliable engine at short notice and with his understanding of the ferrari infrastructure he is well informed bt the people in authority to get things moving quickly. On the down side it is going to be yet another year the team are not looking to perform in the current season with no testing possible until a new owner is found.

As for the possibility of schumi being involved with ross in buying the team i think it is a pipe dream that one.

Once again, This is a rumour that has been denied. Would be nice! Have You noticed? the Dave Richards camp has gone quiet? Why? He's very shrewed. Honda has hoopped themselves. I don't think You will see a Deal done until end Jan. Devastation presents Opportunities. On Schuis' part He has to remember Prost, But investors will flock to His Name. Schui, Richards, Brawn? Dream Team? most plausible IMHO. I know, I will live to rue that prediction :)

How about Schumacher/Brawn running the team from the wall, with Ferrari supplied engines? Kind of like the STR/Red Bull setup, as a feeder team for Ferrari. Probably just a pipe dream, but it would be good to see it happen.

Apparently, The Schui/Brawn has already been denied! The last thing Ferrai would want is Micheal getting back in F1 Car. Perhaps that's why they've kept Him under Contract. But OH what a rumour :)

Button could always forgo his payoff and put that back into the mix to become a driver /part owner , Brawn earnt some serious money during his time at Ferrari ,so there's another source of purchase, now all it needs is for Schumacher to get involved in team ownership and Honda will be ready to rock and roll
