Stivala are you saying that Ron Dennis should have single handedly predicted the global economic crisis 10 years ago and began persuading competing teams to start working together to safeguard the future of the sport?

Totally agree with rons statement the teams i.e. FOTA should continue to work togeather to improve F1 for the fans and teams in this new global financial crisis, however i do not agree with max and bernie being in control anymore with such a great amount of co-operation between the teams bernie i.e. FOM is not required anymore.

Max signed honda's demise i think to a certain extent in his letter about cutting back on resources i.e. wind tunnels etc. what future buyer of honda is going to think a state of the art facility is going to makle things easier when you are not allowed to use them.

To all above i gave up trying to reason with sunny ages ago it is a pointless excercise. :?

I find it funny that at the end of MM's letter, he says that the failure of F1 would have little financial effect on the FIA, but would welcome a break-away serious under the control of the FIA. Firstly, who in their right minds would want to be under the control of the FIA. Secondly, how cold. The F1 problems have in no small part been brought about by the constant rule changes imposed by the FIA. Of course, the crisis has had an effect, but this is only very recent. F1 has been going off course for years now thanks to the FIA.

A lot of what RD said made a lot of sense. It's good that the teams are together in this.

SS seems to be an angry man with a very short fuse. Cool down man.

Sunnys right thou, if FOTA had have Been around 10yrs ago and focused like they are now, F1 would be far more healthy than it is today. No breakaway series is possible without FIAs consent. would any Track host a Race at the Risk of losing Their sanctioning for all other Race Series? Think about that, FOTA needs to topple Max,then They can deal more effectively with FOM (Bernie) Down with Max! Down with the GLB! :)

Reading the full story on Autosport, RD said that they had carried out a survey of fans to see what they wanted, and would consider implementing some of the suggestions from this survey. Is he talking about the ING survey or something else. If something else, what the *ell. Who did they ask, was anyone on this forum part of the survey?

Forager, but if there was a break-away, they could go to all those great circuits that BE doesn't want to. You know, Silverstone, Spa etc.
