F1 » Buemi officially gets Toro Rosso F1 nod

About bl**dy time. I certainly wouldn''t like to be one of the potential STR drivers having their career being kept on hold by STR''s slow decision making process.

Not so sure about Buemi, got a bad feeling there might be a lot crashed Toro Rosso's this season. Then we shouldn't doubt him just yet, i just think there are a few more ready drivers at the moment.

Im perfectly happy for Buemi to join STR, Ive never seen him race so itll be interesting to see how talented he is. :)
Im still hoping Bourdais gets the other seat, as I've said over and over and over again, I believe he deserves another shot to get some decent championship points. :D And itll sill be the Seb team if he does stay. :p Can't believe there's a possibility we wont find out till the end of March, its ludicrous, for us but mainly the drivers! :-o

Not sure this is the right decision at all. Buemi not exactly stood out in GP2 and hasn't even completed the warm-up lap on occasion.... Think there are better candidates for an F1 seat - guess this is the downside of a young driver scheme that intends to take drivers all the way to the top

I think it's a mistake given that there are others from the gp2 crop that deserve a seat in F1 before Buemi does.

Glad to see Buemi get the seat, as his testing-times have been really impressive. However, if it means Sato will be out of F1 next year it's a disaster IMHO. Bourdais deserves another chance, there i agree with Hannah, but so do Sato, and among SAto/Bourdais I would choose Sato as he is more experienced and in my view a faster driver ( although perhaps not as stable as Bourdais is). I've stopped watching F1 after Super Aguri quit, but if Sato joins STR i will once again have a team/driver to cheer for. Greetings from Norway

It seems a shame that with so few top level seats available in all of motorsport,a guy who has been at the best average should claim a seat at the pinnacle of the sport!

I can see STR going for Sato, because of the Japanese market for Red Bull. I think Bourdais needs to start having a backup plan ready, if it isn't too late already.
