After seeing the BMW at the end of last year, I was expecting the worst ... but the Ferrari doesn't look too bad. The clean lines minus all the winglets, fins & grooves look neat ... & the slick tyres make it look quite mean from the front.

Describing the car as "cute" reminds me of Damon Hill, after he was fired from Williams and joined Arrows. At the unveiling, he said the Arrows was a "sexy little number".

Good times, good times.

Agreed, the Honda & the BMW were definitely worse than this.

Will you change-resisters please quit bashing the appearance of the "new" F1 cars? While I agree that the front wings are much too wide and I''ve never liked the looks of them hanging from the nose, the fact that these new cars have been shorn of all those ridiculous aero appendages of the past few years yields a remarkably attractive car. Not to mention slick tires!

I think it's fairly decent based on what I was expecting...

Nice car, pity Lu Lu won't get a good view of it in his McLaren's tiny mirrors!

/takes cover :p

I think cars looked nicest in 2007, wide track slick tyres. At least we're half way there!

If anyone knows why don't F1 cars have low-profile tyres? I think they'd look awesome!

You can't compare the front wings that we all saw in end of year testing. They were just for that, testing. The final bits may be very different from those.

In any case, all the manufacturers say that their cars will change a lot between launch and 1st race, so I really don't know whay they bother launching at all. To keep up the interest, maybe?

yessum, 2008 saw the FIA try to improve overtaking by narrowing the cars and grooving the tyres - thus removing loads of mechanical grip. Genius - 10 years of boring racing with cars not able to get near the back of each other because of dependence on aero grip! Can't be bothered to check but I'm pretty sure I'm right, I used to be a big fan until it got boring.

This year could be awesome! I hope the teams are close in terms of performance.

The McLarens of the mid-late 90's were the best, especially the Marlboro colours! minus the engine cover winglet!
