Unbelievable ... here is a guy that was so poor at finding sponsorship for the factory Honda F1 team that he tried to spin the whole world his "Earth Dream" concept to cover it up ... & now he expects people to believe he can find sponsors to fund an independent team that has no engine, no KERS & more overheads than it knows what to do with!

Coupled to the accusations of him sabotaging the potential Super Aguri buy-out, one wonders why Honda haven''t given him the boot yet? Im not surprised the other bidders are unimpressed. Maybe without Fry, some sponsorship & less internal politics Honda may never have left ...

Isn't it unbelievable, Formula One is like the British banking industry, or the financial institutions which have wreaked havoc in the UK and other countries, people are rewarded for mediocrity and incompetence and Nick Fry is the worst of them all.

He shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a washing machine, let alone a Formula One team, it's been through his lack of management skills, incompetence and abstract failure in engaging with his staff and peers that Honda F1 are in this mess.

If DR were still in charge there would be some degree of success, even if it's a handful of points each year, that would have appeased the Japanese and ensured the team contiued.

Nick Fry couldn't find a penny to sponsor the team when they were remotely successful, who on earth in his dreams (Earthdreams) will support him in buying Honda F1 when the rats are already deserting the sinking ship.

No one within F1 or motorsport for that matter has any respect for Nick Fry, he is an incompetent fool and has proved that on many occasions, he only has to open his mouth for that to happen. To be fair there are plenty of others like him in F1, they wouldn't survive in the real world, but for some incredulous reason they survive in F1 because F1 is full of incompetent and mediocrity.

Not within the engineering fraternity, but within the management, its rife.

Nick, nice but dim, that seems to sum him up.

I worked for him some years ago, he's some piece of work.

OK we're pretty much all agreed that Nick Fry is a kn0b, but Honda have to shoulder a huge degree of the problem they created by bumping Dave Richards out when they could have moved further up the grid under his leadership

Calvin_ - Internal management bidding for project is perfectly valid practice.

If indeed Nick F wins the bid, he would be more serious about "delivering results" since his fortune would be at stake.

This whole Honda F1 for sale story is taking turns of "Big Brother" on Tube, with new twist and turn to keep audience guessing. Couldn't help but think if this is all orchestrated :D

Nauji Oignaf, it may be an accepted practice, but when the same guy has been involved in negotiating with up to 12 other suitors, it is a conflict. He can bid himself, but if he knew he was going to do so, he should have absented himself from any other negotiations.
