He managed to drive the giantkilling Super Aguri out of business out of embarassment that they were able to do with much less people and money what he could not.

He walked away scot-free after trying to tempt Stepney and Cughlan to Honda, leading to the whole Stepney-Coughlan espionage scandal.

The man's got no moral. He destroyed Honda's credibility.

It seems none of the poster here are aware of term management buyout where group of internal stakeholders show interest in buying assets on sale. Second wrong assumption is Nick Fry is administrating the bid process. Bid process will be administered by independent parties not to mention monitored by independent observers.

Given these circumstances if indeed there are multiple bidders involved there would have been drama with new rumors like the above making rounds daily. IMO there haven't been any serious takers in current market, and the team management is just bluffing to attract bidders (like the sidekicks of streetside howlers do to raise interest).

Honda Tokyo, Fukui and Oshima should be ashamed of themselves. Although I''m sure they have done nothing illegal this has the appearance of something very corrupt.
If the team vetting the bids were shown to have worked with Nick Fry at Brackley this would stink even more: but I''m sure that Fukui and Oshima wouldn''t be that cynical and corrupt to let that happen?

Well I know someone who works at Honda F1 and he says that Nick Fry is the laughing stock of the entire company, they have no confidence in him at all. Bodes well if he's the one taking over doesn't it, bizarre isn't it.

I'm not as anti Nick Fry as the rest of you but surely if he's the one charged with evaluating the bids from third parties he shouldn't be allowed to submit his own bid, that clearly is a conflict of interest. As someone else said earlier, it just wouldn't happen in the real world,F1 seems to be corrupt to the core.

Honda will take a dim view of this surely.

I agree with you sennaforever. Honda should have fired Nick a long time ago. Particularly after he made one bad move after another, it must have been obvious what an idiot he was. I wonder who's genius decision it was to dump Takuma Sato? That one blew up in their face, in my opinion.

Sure a conflict of interest. But being on the inside he may be well aware that the others are not serious buyers. Or at the very least cause one of the 12(ha ha) to jump forward. Something has got to give soon or there will be 2 less cars and drivers on the grid. It's already too late to do anything this year and run a full schedule.

Nauji Oignaf, it may be an accepted practice, but when the same guy has been involved in negotiating with up to 12 other suitors, it is a conflict. He can bid himself, but if he knew he was going to do so, he should have absented himself from any other negotiations.
