F1 » DC should've maybe 'stopped a year earlier'

I completly disagree with this story: DC quitted when he felt it right to, when he was still enjoying it. Red Bull offered him a seat for 2008 and he took it. Sorry, but Johnny Herbert wasnt exactly one of the most successful drivers was he? Why is he now coming out with advice like this, besides its irrelevant now. Perhaps hes just trying to stay in the public eye???
But this is his opinion and I respect that!

I disagree with JH too. If DC had spent his final year being either an arrogant brat or a PC droid out of the ****pit I'd agree but he was a credit to himself in his controlled but non-PC anecdotes and his own self-assessment (of incidents as they happened AND his carreer), just a shame he didn't keep it 'on the island' a bit more during races

Again, another quote a little misconstrued, taken a bit out of context...
He basically said in hindsight, he should of quit a year earlier because of his poor form, I'll be honest, I'd rather finish on a high, so in hindsight, I'd of said he should have quit a year earlier. However, a year ago didn't at all seem like the right time to quit - only looking back. Hindsight.

I agree with Johnny's opinion (even though he is one of those never has beens). DC should have quitted after his stint with Merc was over.

Nah, he wanted to by way of Juan Pablo Montoya... he wanted to crash into as many people as he could before leaving!
