Taipan I personally visited the circuit about a month ago in my capacity with V8 Supercars.

The circuit design is great with elevation combined.

It will be ready and from what I seen will be one of the best circuits on the calender. It will be a credit to Austin and the U.S.A.

Thanks for your thoughts on Jase mate. He was a great guy both in competition and socially.

Sorry to hear about your mate Comm, bloody evil illness.

I did watch all of the video and my problem is that it doesn't show much of the track, just how close to being ready is it? It's only 4 months or so until the GP after all.
From what I've seen of the track layout and specs it looks really good, possibly the best new track in quite a number of years. Just a bit concerned by the lack of evidence of it's readiness.

wait, if V8 supercars are going to be there in 2013...? then i give permission for all motorcycling fans (schwantz in particular) to officially begin holding their breath for MotoGP. like i said, it won't be a ridiculous 10 years, but they'll be there. of course the braking zones will be all warped, shot to hell and the track in need of a complete repave by time the motorcycles show up , but "bike world beggars" can't be choosers.

This weeks New Yorker Mag has a short article by a guy who took a ride with Vettel on the so called New York track (in Jersey). Seb said it was like Spa without the trees. Can't see it happening with the astronomical cost involved for the promoter.

Guys you need to watch the full video. It does not
only feature F1.

A good mate of mine Jason Richards is featured who succumbed to cancer leaving two young children and a wife.

He always had a smile.

You can read more about him on the V8 section of Crash which is a bit sparse..

Click on Cars at the top and use the slidebar to find V8's.
