Ahead of this weekend's 2014 Italian Grand Prix, we head back to the 1988 Italian Grand Prix, which came in the midst of McLaren's dominant era and the peak of Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost's infamous rivalry.
However, with Prost hitting mechanical issues and Senna eliminated in a collision with the lapped Jean-Louis Schlesser, the way was paved for an unexpected, but spectacular Ferrari 1-2 on its beloved home soil.
