UK Time
Thanks for sticking with us over the past four days and we sure to stick around for all the fallout from this test as we quickly build towards the second test next week. Bye for now!
17:20
UK Time
The second and final F1 pre-season test is just five days away, beginning on Tuesday 1st March for another four days to conclude on Friday 4th March - two weeks before the season-opening Australian Grand Prix.
17:19
UK Time
The new team on the grid Haas leaves the first test with a respectable amount of laps achieved and  solid times as it looks good to challenge the midfield in 2016. Finally, Sauber waved goodbye to its 2015 car as it prepares to launch this year's machine at the second test.
17:17
UK Time
The new-look Renault struggled for reliability on the opening two days and despite stopping on each day made remarkable gains on the final day with Kevin Magnussen. Manor also had a tentative start with a brand new look, engine, drivers and transmission as they began to become familiar.
17:15
UK Time
Elsewhere Red Bull's new life as a TAG-Heuer-powered car has enjoyed a positive start, while Force India looks like it could challenge Williams for a scrap. Toro Rosso also had an upbeat beginning with year-old Ferrari power units.
17:13
UK Time
What did we learn: Quite a lot but much of it we probably already knew. Ferrari is fast, Mercedes looks fast and has unreal reliability while McLaren has neither of those in its armory.
17:12
UK Time
So as the sun sets on Circuit de Catalunya, it brings an end to the first four-day F1 pre-season test of 2016

Magnussen's Renault being recovered by the flatbed truck and it appears his day is prematurely over. Should be enough time for some final laps before the 6PM deadline.

UK Time
As the Red Bull driver becomes familiar with the ultra-softs, we still haven't seen Raikkonen all afternoon. Nor Massa and Alsono for that matter.
15:27
UK Time
That must have been a premonition, as Kvyat is now out on those purple ultra-softs. What can he do?

10:44
UK Time
Teams will certainly have their own plans but yesterday we saw the softer compounds used in the final hour of the morning session in short sprints.

Lap times being chipped away as Grosjean and Massa both improve. Order remains the same.
09:20
UK Time

09:19
UK Time
Well that cursed it. Haryanto appears for his Manor F1 debut.
09:18

Rosberg has already surpassed Hamilton's lap total from yesterday while he starts his 165th lap of the day. Marathon man.
16:18

UK Time
Bottas enjoys a small improvement with a 1m 25.648s but stays sixth overall

12:01
UK Time
That signals the one-hour lunch break and a small respite from the action. Good stuff all round.
12:00
UK Time
Chequered flag!
11:59
UK Time
But the Ferrari and Red Bull ditch the ultra-softs so times will not improve at the top.
11:57
UK Time

11:51
UK Time
Elsewhere Wehrlein, Alonso and Verstappen all circulating nicely.
11:51

11:50
UK Time
Ten minutes until the morning session ends. Still time for more hot laps.
11:48
UK Time
No timesheet toppers from Ricciardo yet on the new rubber so he may be taking a gentler approach to it. Vettel still setting overall best sector times.
