Former Renault F1 managing director Flavio Briatore has branded the FIA World Motor Sport Council reunion that banned him from the sport over 'Singapore-gate' as 'a sham hearing'.

The "crime" was done in the domain of the FIA so it has to be an FIA court that sets the punishment. It was not a civil case so that is out of the question anyway.
