Pier, not playing devil's advocate or anything, but there are several different permutations to the idea. When do the second group of cars head off? When the leading car hits the halfway point of the lap, or when the 13th car does?

Or what happens if the back 13 head off and the safety car is immediately deployed because of a second corner or hairpin pile-up? Do the top 13 sit there on the grid with engines boiling until the safety car picks them up? And who leads the race at that point? The "leading cars" coming up behind them, or the first car of the back 13?

Finally, if there's a Renault or Merc in either group, what are the chances of serious 'driver confusion' at that stage of battle?
