Heidfeld's fallen through the cracks in F1 -- started in lousy cars, quickly passed by lesser drivers in better cars, and got stalled because of it. Far too loyal to teams that undervalued him. Obviously still highly rated despite current test driver status. Curious that his talent is betrayed by his lack of killer instinct. Needs a few sessions with a sports psychologist. Should return (we hope) severely chastened after sitting out this season -- with luck he'll appear sometime in 2010. Should be a popular win in the paddock if he ever gets the chance to pull it off.
