McLaren team principal and FOTA chairman Martin Whitmarsh has hit out at the FIA World Motor Sport Council for having confused rather than clarified the ruling on team orders in F1.

What? I suppose you are saying that the reason Hamilton didn't have the F-duct at Monza was because Whitmarsh knew it would slow him down and make Jenson look like a star? I find that hard to believe.

And even if what you think is true, that Mclaren have been giving Jenson the better set up, the better race strategy, the first choice of when to pit, and the smartest race engineer, that is NOT forbidden by the team orders rule. Teams can favour one driver as much as they like. What they can't do is try to alter the racing result.
