Outgoing Williams technical director Sam Michael reflects that last weekend's Monaco GP proved the team is 'heading in the right direction' - even if it did culminate in a 'bittersweet' ending.

And this is why Sam's on his way. If he truely believes that Monaco's result (or once again - lack of result) is indicative of them "being on the right track", then he definitely deserves to go. Ironically not because he designs poor cars (because I don't actually believe he does) but because it is plainly apparent that he doesn't know what the right track is. When he or Williams as a group of people realise that their team is in a mess,as opposed to their car, then they might begin to improve.
