McLaren claims that the engine rules appeared to change again during opening practice at Silverstone, apparently to the benefit of rival Red Bull.

I think Renault are talking BS. Why would it just be their engine that needs to cool the valves with air flow. With modern materials and valves can contain cooling substances internally why would they need model T Ford technology for the cooling effect. It is just a cover to keep the blown diffuser.The FIA should mandate closed throttles for all then problem solved.
