F1 » Chandhok replaces Trulli at Lotus for German GP


Karun Chandhok will be given his race chance in F1 2011 sooner than anticipated after Team Lotus announced that the Indian will replace Jarno Trulli for the German GP at the Nürburgring.

Nothing against KC, but see this as a sign that the team are just about gaining ££ over trying for a result that Jarno could get them esp with the unpredictable weather at the 'ring.
KC has to start somewhere, after all it was cash that got Schumacher the Jordan drive all those years ago - he wasn't even Saubers no. 1 wonderkid in their Gp C car, that was HHF....
But Jarno isn't past it, nor a journeyman, or whatever other crap some have written here. He is a Monaco GP winner who saw of JB at Renault, scared Alonso and Flavio there too by being too good, and had developed that pig of a Toyota into a podiun car that had the team listened to him would have won in '09.
You telling me that if he was in a say Renault, he wouldn't do better than Petrov or lil' Nick? course he would!!
He has had the guts to say it how it is about the car and has struggled to pull them forward - if they bin him for now or next year then we'll know what the aspirations are of that team and if there to try and i
