Ecclestone is unique. Fi and the teams owe everything to what Bernie has done and what he is doing even now. No one within F1, wether friend or foe, is calling for him to go as they all know no one has his influence knowledge or nous. And Bernie himself has tied so many knots along the way it would be impossible to untangle them. If there was someone out there that could do what Bernie can do they would be in place years ago. You cannot manage F1 by committee as there is too much greed and self inyerest. Bernie has managed to tie everyone up in knots over the years by appeasing that greed and delivering. Like him or not he is Formula1 and is the ringmaster. No one else will ever be able to hold the influence Bernie has. He will only go when he hits the box and he will laugh at the mess that Formula 1 will become from wherever he ends up. In the meantime its a vain hope to think of F1 without him.
