'Veteran' Jean Alesi - speaking for Total says "but Total did push very much for a French driver and they pay more...”

Team principal Eric Cartman says "The decision we took on Grosjean was purely a sporting one and absolutely not based on the financial support that we could get directly or indirectly."

I see no mention of the 'financial support' that would flow to Grosjean's manager - whoever that may be...

Had to giggle at the source of Alesi's remarks though - the Norwich Advertiser is usually found at the bottom of cat litter trays like most other free-ad papers.
