He is at least a race winner in GP2, and he managed to score a handful of podiums too. Which is no mean feat considering the guys he was racing against in 2008. He actually finished ahead of guys like Kobayashi, d'Ambrosio and Mike Conway in the final results, and occasionally beat them all.

And like I said, that's not even the most important thing in endurance racing. If you look at guys like Nicolas Lapierre, Olivier Pla or Gianmaria Bruni for example, they may not have set the world alight in GP2 or F1 but they are all established, race-winning drivers in LMES. Like him or not, but I think LMES may in fact be just right for him.
