Qualifying had been looking very promising for Toro Rossi, with Jean-Eric Vergne up in fourth place when the red flag came out for heavy rain and took away the team's momentum.

Daniel Ricciardo will actually start from 12th given Hulkenburg and Kobayashi both having grid penalties. If he can get a reasonable start and stay out of trouble he has a good chance of scoring points...

Torro Rosso never seems to have a good strategy that works for their drivers. If they can have some luck with safety cars , getting clean air and the start they will be more competitive than usual in the wet.
