The organisers at Silverstone Circuit were breathing deep sighs of relief after an ultimately successful British Grand Prix, but are also urgently looking at what to do in the future.

My point is that without the investment in the pits, circuit loop and grandstands we wouldn't have a British GP it would have gone overseas. I've worked at the circit on and off since 1983 (not for it) and I know how much it has changed over the years, yes its not perfect but lets be fair no one could have predicted the extreame weather we have had this year. The campsites are grass fields and as soon as you start driving cars, motorhomes and caravans on to them it they will turn to mud with the amount of rain we've had and to say the BRDC does nothing for the average motorsport fan is I think a bit unfair.
