Marussia F1 boss John Booth believes the Banbury-based team is making 'clear strides' this season.

There is always going to be teams at the back...

I like the way marussia etc have gone about there business. Setting up the whole vast Infrastructure that is a F1 team and having a solid base whilst not over extending themselves into unrealistic goals, living of false promises and realising where they are at in the moment.

They have done this whilst not being left behind, the gap has been constant to the front and is gradually getting smaller as these team learn.

All done with a not great but cheaper cosworth engine and no kers unlike caterham who have last years renault engine and kers!

I think with kers and a engine that is on par with the other teams marussia and hrt would actually be a lot closer to the mid field and ahead of caterham!!
