I've rated Perez ever since he ran at the front in F3 with a Mugen Honda engine nobody else could do anything with. Nothing he showed in GP2 makes me doubt that he's the more gifted of the two - and what did Kobayashi achieve at that level? The improvement he's made relative to his team-mate isn't untypical for a second year driver in a series. Telmex's money is a big reason why the team are staying competitive, although it's still well short of what Mercedes et al can invest, but I don't see the evidence that Sergio's getting an unfairly good deal.
