Richard, it's not done with a fifty percent overload, it's done with a factor of from 1 to ten.
Yes I am certain that the off the shelve part that failed bought/picked up by Renault the specification of which was exceeded by Renault/RBR as users.
As I said, the alternator which have an output of 35 AMP/H can run at a maximum winding temperture of 200 degrees C and at a maximum bearings temperture of 150 degreed C, if these tempertures are exceeded it doesnt mean a faild part is defective or weak.
