Kamui Kobayashi couldn't have won his maiden F1 podium at a better place that Suzuka, as an adoring Japanese crowd chanted the name of their favourite motor racing son.

This is the step I've been wait for. He qualified decently and he was able to stay up front rather than fall behind in the start. Drove awesome through the race. I really hope he keeps his seat at Sauber or maybe even in a crazy world step up to Ferrari if they nix Massa. I image his would be a marketing dream for the Asian market.
