Richard, being in Spain most certainly is a handicap. Don't forget that even though teams like Red Bull, Force India, Mercedes, Marussia, and Caterham race under international licences, all of them are based in England and are largely comprised of English team members. England is the Silicon Valley of Formula 1, meaning that it has the highest concentration of talent, skilled workers and fresh newcomers that you need to build a successful F1 team. Coaxing them away from England to a country like Spain is going to be pretty tough, especially when you're a team like HRT. Their downfall has been trying to be the national team of Spain. It was a doomed concept right from the start.
