Despite the delay in re-signing Romain Grosjean to partner Kimi Raikkonen in 2013, Lotus boss Eric Boullier believes that the team is better for having an unchanged pairing.

Bradenws - I'd heard the same thing, not sure where. But I vaguely recall that I actually heard it on the SkyF1 broadcast. Basically as said, Raikkonen was doing far better than anyone expected in his first year back (and the previous year Lotus hadn't exactly been running consistently up the front either). He was owed performance bonuses beyond what they could afford, given the delay between when he was scoring and when the team gets paid for its good results for the season. But I never heard anything about the problems extending beyond Raikkonen to the team staff, outside of random internet comments. As far as I know that wasn't the case.
