Red Bull's Helmut Marko claims that using tyres to produce excitement in F1 has gone too far if the best teams are being penalised by extreme wear.

When drivers have to pull back and cannot push their cars to the limits because of ridiculous levels of tyre degredation it is bad for the fans and bad for F1.

This is not F1 racing, this is F1 nursing the tyres. Who wants to see racing like that? F1 has always been about pushing the cars and drivers to their absolute limits. Now it's all about NOT going too fast in case they won't have enough tyres to finish the race. As an avid F1 fan that is rubbish, in my opinion.
