Lewis Hamilton started the 2013 Chinese Grand Prix from pole position, but he was under no illusions about how he was up against it trying to convert that to a win.

Great job by Hamilton. That Merc did not belong on the podium and if it wasn't for the pole, the other Ferrari or Vettel would be up there. Great strategy from Lewis. He knew he didn't have the race pace of the Ferrari and Lotus so he gave himself a chance by claiming pole. I guess that's two trophies already that is sitting on his mantle. Bravo! On to Bahrain.
