Nico Rosberg has hailed his pole position for the Bahrain Grand Prix as a 'kick start' and while he knows the race will be a 'big challenge' he is determined to make the most of starting from the front.

I'm really happy that mercedes has produced a decent enough car this year to showcase Rosberg's true potential. Even though over race distance it may not keep up with the likes of Ferrari, Red bull and even Lotus (in Kimi's case) it's good to see him being able to park that car in P1 on the grid.

I have always felt that Rosbergs talents were being squandered due to a poor performing vehicle and now, even if the car isn't the best in the field if he can out perform Lewis it would be interesting to think what he could have achieved being given a red bull or m'claren in 2010.
