Sky Sports F1 pundit and former F1 racer Johnny Herbert reckons Fernando Alonso will be the man to beat this weekend in Spain.

I think that Herbert is right on this one. Usually Alonso is very competitive on this track even if he won here only once in 2006. Vettel too won once here in 2011 with less than a second gap to Lewis Hamilton. Let's face it, the current European circuits aren't the strongest point of Red Bull. They always faced touch competition in these venues. Thanks god that F1 has dropped the Istanbul and Valencia circuits. I don't like Tilke's circuit because they have a bit of everything and you should have a very balanced car to win them, giving the midfiled teams very low chances to have a great result. I still love to remember what Force India did back in 2009 in the low downforce circuits in Spa and Monza. Tilke should consider desingning circuits like Spa, Monza, Barcelona, Silverstone and not just Sakhir, Yeongham, New Delhi, Abu Dhabi ect.
