Red Bull Racing's high profile motorsport consultant Helmut Marko has warned that unless Mercedes are punished for their recent Pirelli tyre test, the FIA could lose control of the situation.

We already know that Mercedes changed the brake ducting design to disperse the heat quicker (which happened between Spain and Monaco) a concept that came from somewhere... We also saw them do very well yesterday (had Sutil not held up Lulu, would Alonso have got past him so easily).

Red Bull do have a right to complain about this test, same as any other team are allowed to complain and protest about anything Red Bull do with their cars..

I think if tyre manufacturers (in this case Pirelli) want to do in season testing with a current car, it should be done with a driver from outside of the team and a pit crew from outside the team also. Any telemetry data should also be cleared before the car gets returned to its team.
