Two weeks ago the skeptics were singing the demise of Sauber, not knowing the Russian connection that was unfolding to guarantee their financial future. Now, Marussia has secured an arrangement with Ferrari for engines and ancillaries. Good for them. And yet skeptics ask, how will they pay for them? I suspect they have a business plan that makes sense as Ferrari engines and support make Marussia a more attractive team for drivers and for corporate sponsorship, and this deal ensures they retain Bianchi another year. I am certain they know exactly what they are doing.
