I think that you are right Richard. Now is difficult to find a new team which is a F1 devotee. I think that the last entry were BMW Sauber, maybe Honda as well but they lost credibility as they left as soon they realised that business was not going well for them. Maybe Force India too is commited enough to F1, I'm not sure. But the most serious entry in recent years was Red Bull. Some people said they entered F1 only for marketing reasons and honestly I believed the same. But in 2006 when they bought Toro Rosso as a junior team for young drivers development and especially after they took Adrian Newey from McLaren, I thought: Wow this guys really want to win. So hat off to Red Bull racing.
