The shiny trumpet appendage was obviously a ploy of Mercedes to make the megaphone solution look ridiculous. Meanwhile, over-regulation, passing aide gimickery, tire degradation fakery, ineffective spec racer "equality", corporate takeover of innovation to suit tax write-off positioning, and the largest teams spending truck loads of cash in the face of a growing financial crisis, the real issues threatening the future of F1, are drowned out by this inane discussion of exhaust noise.
