With Formula One testing back under way, Sebastien Buemi has admitted that now is the time when the serious work starts as he prepares for his debut season in the sport.

Buemi was confirmed as part of Toro Rosso's line-up for the new season last month, having long been regarded as a 'shoe-in' for the drive by many both inside and outside the paddock following some impressive testing displays.

He will step into the seat vacated by Sebastian Vettel after he moved up to the 'senior' Red Bull Racing line-up and Buemi admitted he had big shoes to fill.

"To follow Vettel is maybe a bit more pressure for me because he did a good job last year," he said in a video interview released by the team, "but I am thankful because he improved the team and for me it might be a bit easier because of that.

"There will be comparisons all over the season [between us] but that is how it is. This is Formula One and I will concentrate on myself and try to do my best.

"To be with Toro Rosso is like a dream for me but now the work starts for the season and we will see what happens. I can focus on the job now and feel more relaxed.

"Australia will be a big date for me but I try to prepare myself as much as possible. For sure, I think about it often but the thing is to work hard and if I am prepared then there won't be a problem."
