Button, Brawn win GP

Jenson Button won the Australian Grand Prix from pole position to give Brawn GP a remarkable debut victory.

The Briton led from start to finish as the rest of the field scrapped in his wake, eventually heading a Brawn 1-2 as Rubens Barrichello benefited from a last-gasp clash between Robert Kubica and Sebastien Vettel to claim second after fluffing his start.

jarno Trulli also benefited from the late carnage to claim a podium finish from the pit-lane as the race was led to the chequered flag by the safety car.

Lewis Hamilton, another to suffer in qualifying, finished fourth, ahead of Timo Glock, Fernando Alonso and Nico Rosberg, while Sebatien Buemi took the final point on his debut with Toro Rosso.
