In the wake of our poll last week to register your opinions on whether or not Bruno Senna should be given a chance in Formula 1 this year, you have voted overwhelmingly in favour of the GP2 Series runner-up joining the grand prix grid - and the man he should replace, you believe, is Nelsinho Piquet at Renault.

The young Brazilian - nephew of the late, great three-time F1 World Champion Ayrton Senna - narrowly missed out on making his bow in the top flight in 2009 when Brawn GP elected to retain the services of his experienced countryman Rubens Barrichello rather than taking a punt on a rookie.

The nine-time grand prix-winner, though, has struggled to keep pace with world championship-leading team-mate Jenson Button over the opening races of the campaign - achieving just one podium finish to the Briton's unblemished record of four - causing some to question whether team principal Ross Brawn ultimately made the right decision.

The most popular choice of driver for Senna to replace, however, is the under-fire Piquet, who is already finding himself facing a fight to save his seat at the R?gie, after languishing some way off the pace of Fernando Alonso in the sister car thus far this season and failing to show any noticeable improvement on his largely lacklustre maiden campaign last year. Some have surmised that the 23-year-old's days at the Enstone-based outfit are already numbered - the only question mark remaining is over who will likely take his place...
