Glock out in Q2.

Timo Glock failed to live up to Toyota's early weekend pace when he crashed out of qualifying before the final phase at Istanbul Park, joining a mixed group of casualties.

While team-mate Jarno Trulli threatened to set the fastest time of the second phase - eventually being pipped by Sebastian Vettel at the chequered flag - Glock's final flying effort proved insufficient to get the German through to the top ten shoot-out, leaving him 13th on the grid for the Turkish Grand Prix.

He was joined in a rapidly changing drop zone by Nick Heidfeld, who had earlier condemned Lewis Hamilton to a Q1 exit but failed to survive long enough in Q2 when Nico Rosberg's escape dumped him back through the trapdoor, Kazuki Nakajima, whose early weekend pace seemed to vanish when it mattered most, Heikki Kovalainen - who joined McLaren team-mate Hamilton in an early bath - and Adrian Sutil, whose Q1 success ultimately translated into 15th on the grid.

Vettel again claimed the fastest time, ahead of Trulli, Jenson Button, Felipe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen, while Mark Webber - who made a late escape from the drop zone - Rubens Barrichello, Rosberg, BMW Sauber's Robert Kubica and Fernando Alonso joining them in the battle for pole.
