Nicolas Todt has revealed that Sebastien Bourdais has elected not to issue legal proceedings against the Toro Rosso team over his departure from the F1 grid.
The Red Bull-owned outfit confirmed following the German Grand Prix that Bourdais was to leave the team, with the Frenchman revealing that he was considering legal action as a result.
However, according to the French 'paper L'Equipe
, discussions following Bourdais' departure have resulted in a settlement being reached which will prevent the need for legal proceedings to take place.
"One week after the German grand prix, we reached an out-of-court settlement with the team,” Todt revealed. “They knew it would not stand up in court."
Bourdais was replaced in the Toro Rosso line-up by Spanish rookie Jaime Alguersuari.
