Michael Schumacher has continued to plan for his return to F1 after completing two days of karting in Lonato.
Schumacher, who is due to return to the F1 grid in Valencia in place of the injured Felipe Massa, was joined by Ferrari test driver Luca Badoer for a two-day outing with the Tony Kart Team.
The test comes on the back of his outing in a 2007-spec F1 car and after rival teams refused permission for Schumacher to spend a day running into the current F60 prior to the European Grand Prix.
"We had two very good Karting days in Lonato,” Schumacher said. “Luca (Badoer) and me could well exploit the time. Arms, upper body, shoulders, neck -an excellent practice indeed. I really would like to expressly thank Roberto Robazzi and his Tony Kart Team who as always prepare only the best conditions for us.
“What was especially nice for me was that Corinna had joined me those days. It was our wedding anniversary yesterday and we celebrated it with a nice dinner in the evening. In the next days I will keep practicing at home."
