Sutil fails to break into top ten

Force India's Adrian Sutil was unable to match his promising practice pace and was eliminated in Q2 for Sunday's European Grand Prix.

Sutil finished in twelfth place, behind the BMW Sauber of Nick Heidfeld. Timo Glock also failed to progress to the top-ten shoot-out, and will line up in 13th with Romain Grosjean 14th and Sebastien Buemi 15th.

Rubens Barrichello meanwhile was quickest in Q2, on a 1 minute 38.076 second lap, followed by Lewis Hamilton, Heikki Kovalainen, Sebastian Vettel and Nico Rosberg.

Jenson Button, Mark Webber, Fernando Alonso, Robert Kubica and Kimi Raikkonen rounded out the top ten.

Alonso had been set to miss Q3, but put in a good lap late on and eventually finished 0.641 seconds off P1.

More to follow after Q3...
