Tost: It wouldn't make sense to ditch drivers now.

Scuderia Toro Rosso boss Franz Tost has claimed that current drivers Sebastien Buemi and Jaime Alguersuari stand a good chance of being retained for 2010, when the team has to become a manufacturer in its own right.

Having dispensed with the services of four-time Champ Car champion Sebastien Bourdais mid-season, STR has the least experienced line-up on the grid, but Tost insists that sticking with the current pairing could pay dividends in the long run.

"In the end, it's the decision of Red Bull, but it wouldn't have made sense to bring both young drivers into the team if you didn't continue with them for next year," he reasoned, "I must say that they have both improved their performances from race weekend to race weekend, and I'm convinced that Red Bull and Toro Rosso can reap the fruits from the middle of next year onwards - and especially in 2011. We are happy with the drivers."

As for progress towards becoming more autonomous in 2010, Tost is happy with the way the technical team and facilities are being built up to cater with the design and build of next year's car.

"It's going quite well, I must say," he revealed, "We are building up the engineering team around our technical director, Giorgio Ascanelli. We have a chief designer, Ben Butler, and, so far, they have already started on next year's car. We are running the wind tunnel in England, at Bicester, and also our CFD department is increasing and, so far, we are within our planned schedule."

Now it's obvious that sebastien bourdais was the one defining the team set up. TR will never score point up to the end of the season. Brilliant Mister Toast!!
