Toyota driver Jarno Trulli has been handed a reprimand for impeding Sebastien Buemi during qualifying for the Brazilian Grand Prix.

Following a report from the race director, event stewards deemed that Trulli's Toyota had impeded Buemi's Toro Rosso on a flying lap during the challenging qualifying session at Interlagos.

While such an incident would normally result in a grid penalty, stewards took into the account the poor visibility caused by heavy rain in Sao Paolo and instead handed out a reprimand to the Italian.

Williams driver Kazuki Nakajima had been handed a similar reprimand following Friday's first practice session for impeding Mark Webber on track.
