Lotus F1 team principal Tony Fernandes has revealed on social networking site Twitter
, that the F1 newcomers have signed their first driver for the 2010 F1 season - but hasn't revealed who it is...
That will lead to increased speculation over who the driver could be, with a number of names having been suggested as possibilities after the initial confirmation that the team had secured a slot on the grid for next season.
Jarno Trulli has been hotly tipped to a drive but could be one of three ex-Toyota men in contention with Timo Glock
in discussions with a number of teams and Kamui Kobayashi
also looking to secure a race seat on the grid after his impressive showing in the final two races of the year.
Jacques Villeneuve is known to be looking for a route back into the sport, while McLaren's Heikki Kovalainen
could be another possible option should he leave the Woking-based outfit - a move that looks increasingly likely to happen.
Fairuz Fauzy would provide a Malaysian option for the team, although is expected to be a more likely test driver but there are any number of other drivers who could step in to fill a vacant seat.
So who do you think Fernandes was referring to in his Twitter
message ahead of an official announcement?
